Today, when many people talk about starting their own business, they're talking about a home based business, and often an online home business.

There are so many ways to go with this... from freelancing as a consultant in whatever your job field has been in the past, such as writing or web design, to selling your own product, whether a craft or something you manufacture.

And, of course, if the Web is your thing, you can build a content site like this one and sell ad space on it. Or you might sell other people's products, for a commission, which is called affiliate marketing. You might decide to join a network marketing company that sells greeting cards, nutritional supplements or even healthy chocolate.
